The pendant showcases a natural solid Australian Boulder opal, from Queensland, with a light colour and bright pastel fire. A shoe has been crafted in 18ct yellow gold, with round brilliant cut diamonds pave into the toe. The stiletto of the shoe allows the 1mm diamond cut foxtail chain to slide through. The chain has an adjustable feature, allowing the wearer to change the length effortlessly.

One of the worlds most sought after gemstones.

Boulder opal is often cut into unusual or free-form shapes due to the way it forms. The gems are always cut and polished with the strong natural host rock retained to form part of the gem. Similar to black opals, boulder can display vibrant play-of-colour ranging from bright blue-greens through to rare cherry reds. Boulder opals, as the name suggests, are mined from large ironstone boulders under the ground. Thin veins of colourful opal forms in cracks and fissures in these boulders.
