"I've only been to Australia once. We were filming an episode of Modern Family in Sydney and staying in the four seasons hotel. On one of my days off I wandered in to a lovely opal store in the hotel run by Gary Coffey and his wife. I didn't know anything about opals so they gave me a crash course. I never felt any pressure to buy and was impressed by their friendly manner. I bought some for my wife and two daughters. A nice experience. ”
"I like this Company. After winning Best Musical for Spamalot on Broadway in 2005, and perhaps fueled by too much champagne celebrating, I dropped the ring on a hotel tile floor and it broke. I was impressed that Giulians were happy to replace the Opal and the ring is as good as new. I wear it to this day but never when I'm drinking champagne. ”
"At the end of March I was lucky enough to be on holiday in Sydney and 'popped' in to browse your pearls and opals. I was originally met by Gary and was totally blown away by his knowledge and charisma and after settling on a pearl (which was slightly larger than I was originally looking for!) it was set it for me and after a couple of hours I was the proud owner of a South Sea pearl. I'm now back in sunny but chilly England and happy to report that I think my pearl looks as beautiful on a pale English décolleté swathed in a woolly jumper as it did on a sun-kissed warm one! ”
